Portugal é muito facilmente associado ao mundo do futebol. É o Ronaldo, o Figo, o Futre, o Eusébio, o Mourinho… a lista é grande e, apesar de não me considerar uma grande adepta de futebol, percebo-lhe o valor mas, nada de fanatismos!
Nos meus tempos de escola joguei futsal no âmbito de um programa de desporto escolar (não sei se tal coisa ainda existe?). Na altura, a equipa da minha escola acabou por ganhar o campeonato distrital. Foi emocionante! Pude perceber de forma real o significado de trabalhar em equipa. Sozinhos não somos nada. Cresci muito com esta aventura.
Para mim, o futebol ou qualquer outra modalidade desportiva de equipa, quando encarada de forma saudável é garante de união, de crescimento interno, de cuidado e percepção do outro, de integração, independência, responsabilidade e criatividade. O mercado de milhões e de interesses que o “mundo da bola” encerra em si, distorce a sua essência, acentua radicalismos e faz do futebol um “circo”.
Felizmente, o futebol não é só “show de bola”, como dizem os nossos amigos brasileiros. Há pessoas que lhe dão mais significado permitindo-nos ampliar a forma como o olhamos, retirando-o de um lugar redutor, só para “freguês ver”.
