A ideia do Francesco Cerruti nasceu em Fevereiro de 2012 e cedo se tornou projecto. O Timelapse Portugal nasceu para o mundo através da AcademiaRTP em Março de 2012 com o intuito de retratar o território Português através da técnica timelapse (técnica que se baseia na fotografia, considerada também uma técnica de vídeo que permite acelerar o tempo, manipular o tempo). O projecto permitiu ao Francesco Cerruti e ao seu companheiro de imagem, Frederico Borges, a produção e realização de uma vasta série de vídeos em timelapse.
No pós Academia, o Timelapse Portugal muda de forma e transforma-se numa plataforma inteiramente dedicada à promoção, formação e serviços da técnica timelapse. Nasce assim a Timelapse.pt.
Um dos vídeos do momento mais partilhados na internet (que se tornou viral) tem produção do Francesco. O vídeo mostra Lisboa e Sesimbra aos olhos do Timelapse de Kirill Neiezhmakov.
A partilha deste vídeo foi ouro sobre azul e uma forma de mostrar o trabalho que o Francesco tem vindo a desenvolver sobre Portugal (e não só). Os frames vão passando e com eles Portugal torna-se mais bonito, apetecível, maior. Surgem pormenores nunca antes explorados, pessoas que nos chamam a atenção, cores e luzes intensas de um país igualmente intenso, vivo, palpitante!
Francesco mostra-nos o seu Portugal e na colecção “my Portugal” capta e partilha os seus locais preferidos (claro que não são todos… porque há sempre tanto para ver…).
Entre Burgau, Ponta da Piedade (Lagos), Lisboa, São Miguel e Óbidos, a viagem, apesar de curta, é mote para mais e ponto de partida para se ir, de mapa na mão, à procura destes magníficos lugares.
